Another way ribbon is used is in high fashion. You may have heard of high fashion as being on the runway or referred to as "couture". Well a lot of notable designers will often use ribbon as components of these fashionable looks. One such item is the pettiskirt. A pettiskirt is a skirt made in the chiffon style, often featuring bold colors and many layers. These pettiskirts often feature a bow on the front made out of color coordinating ribbon or they have a ribbon lining at the hem of the skirt.
